RK Gaswalt by kohath RK Gaswalt by kohath
Wulfila is dead.

This is a serif typeface for the Gothic language. The characters for this language are squirelled away into an obscure portion of Unicode, so I am making two versions of this font: one with the characters in their proper places (RK Gaswalt), and one with the characters assigned to their Latin equivalents (RK Gaswalt Translit). The latter should be much easier to use.

For keyboarding convenience in the Translit font, hwair is mapped to v as well as the hwair character. Ninety is under c and nine hundred under y, and there is even the eis with diaeresis at ï which isn't functional in the Unicode font.

This font contains only letters for the Gothic language. There are no ordinary Latin letters and no punctuation or miscellaneous marks.

The latest version of this font (released 10 May 2004) is slightly more cleaned up, the characters are at a sane size compared to other fonts (so you can use it in plain text better) and also includes the · character.

Good job. I found this somewhere else (your site, I guess) before I saw it here.
At some point, I decided I needed a different style (not that yours is bad), so I made another after your example, which you can find here: [link]

I just thought I should share it with you, and I hope you don't mind.

Excellent! No, it's just fine. My font efforts are still somewhat amateur after all, and anyone should feel free to do better... and I am glad to see the less-uncial style taking hold somewhere :)
